98 accord rear disc brakes
I'm trying to change the pads on my rear brakes. The housing appears to be held on by two 14 mil bolts. The top one comes loose with relatively no problem. The bottom one is a pain to get to, the only way is to use a socket with a 6" extension and go through the abs and ebrake assembly. That being said, I cannot get those bolts loose whatsoever. I've tried both sides of the car with the same result; top one no problem, bottom one impossible. I have even used an air gun on it with the same result. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

Well here's what I do.. I usually grab my trusty snap on 6pt 14mm wrench and a hammer. I put the wrench on the bolt head and then swing at the wrench. It gives is an impact like hit. Do it a couple of times and the damn will surely come off.
But here's my question, if you're just replacing the rear pads... Why are you bothering with removing the caliper mounting bracket? As far as I can remember, the rear caliper is held onto the bracket by two 12mm head bolts in which you'll need a 19mm wrench to hold the slide pins..
