running a PM8 with a zc.
Will the PM8 (hf) ecu work with my sohc zc? Would it be safe,
would it make my car be a little for fuel efficient.
I remember a while back I had an hf and I ran a PM6 and it
seemed fine, didnt notice any power differance but it ran
fun.
Thanks

well yeah I know the pm6 (si/ex) is the best for that motor.
But I was trying to play around with it and see what happens,
im not trying to swap that for more power, im trying to
swap to be a little more fuel efficient, (just experimenting)
and to make sure it wont harm the motor in any way.

I tried it and the motor would never turn on with the hf ecu. I was trying it to see if I could increase gas mileage.
I just did a basic swap of the ecus and turned the key. I am not sure if the ecu will get a stock motor to turn on though, mine is far from stock.

any obd-zero ecu will start the car, but it will run like ****. Fuel maps, timing, rev limits, etc... will all be different.
For the Sohc Zc, probably the stock Si pm6 ecu would be best. I ran a 89 Teg pg7 on my Dohc Zc a while back, and it was great. Not sure if it will benifit the single cam one though
