Whats up Honda-techers.....Is the skunk 2 intake manifold worth it? Supposedly you get 8-15 HP......also does anyone know what would be the intake manifold of choice for a turbo.........thanks

You'll lose your low end and have good gains in the mid/upper range, considering that you more more aggressive cams than stock......

Get some skunk2 cams to go with that manifold, they were designed to be used with the single runner manifold.

you do lose a little bit of your low end but it makes up for it in mid-high end power. most of the gain is not til youre hittin 6000+ rpms. i think the manifold will be a good addition to a turbo setup. of course i recommend getting a good throttle body to go with it. i was thinkin about gettin one myself.

On LS and B20 setups, you dont make power til 5500+. Kind of hard to justify purchasing if this mod is for a daily driven car. For a track car when keeping RPM's typically high, it would be a great mod. But I cant imagine shifting after 5500 on the street just to feel the power difference.

I have a friend with the Skunk2 on his B20, put the Crower 403 or 404's in there, only made 10whp. That was a PEAK gain after 5500.

We have used this on a few GSR heads and they actually work well in the low end as well as the top end.
Some say because it doesnt have the butterfly, that it loses low end. but not necesarily, it all depends on the cam your using and how its tuned.
So good overall! I like it.

i have the manifold. if you run the 8th mile dont get it. if you run the quarter its def. worth it. just kiss your low end goodbye

the Skunk2 IM works very good with ITR/CTR cams since they were made for the single runners.

I've never heard of people that didnt like crower cams, I know a bunch of people running the vtec cams in their GSR, and they love them. Put down good power too when tuned.
