lol thats not a bad idea, but i still wanted the stock hood to drive with during the harsh winters here. wouldnt want to damage the CF with rocks and sand all winter..

well damn that does make more sense. but really i dont trust the weather around here, its been raining and even snowing all week. well ill see how the weather is this Sat which is when im supposed to go get it.

thing is tho about the hood, is that its a ZC hood, and i dont plan on getting a ZC, im swapping a Z6. do you guys think that would be dumb to have the hood and not have the matching engine? i guess its purely esthetic for me anyways, of course i want it cause its lighter too and my oem hood looks like ***. people might think i have the ZC when i dont, that is if people know about it.

only reason i want it is cause i can get it for relatively cheap.

Yes I have sucessfully transported a hood in my beater EF before no problem at all. It's tight, but it fits. I also transported a front fender on the passenger seat at the same time. I can't remember, but I think I had to put the hood in sideways.

How much are you paying? Used or new?
I am about to get a cf zc hood for my crx. I will buy it if it has a VIS badge. The guy thats selling it lives 60 miles away, but happens to visit his cousin weekley who lives a few miles away from me. So he will actually deliver it.
And I don't think its weird to have a zc hood without a zc engine (I don't have one). Its just a bump. Kind of reminds me of the eclipse bump....

the hood will be used. i think hes asking about $300CAD for it, but there is a crack(its pretty long), which he says is hardly noticable when you actually look at it. i have a pic, it looks bad, but he claims its due to the lighting he made sure you can see it in the pic.

Wow, I couldn't get the hatch on my CRX to close with the hood in the back. It would get very very close, but I had to tie it down. It was open only a few cm, but the exhaust would come in the hatch while I was driving.

Is that a crack or a scratch? Good choice on the hood, I have the VIS ZC hood, I like it a lot (only wish it were black).

update: picked up the hood this past saturday, it fit in the back like a glove, altho my seat had to be pretty close to the steering wheel. im about 6ft tall so it was sort of a squeeze good thing it was only an hour drive!

that crack wasnt too bad it is only on the clearcoat, you cant see the weave seperating or anything. is it possible to get a new clear coat on the hood?
