Ok, heres the thing. I have been looking for a crx since I rolled my last one. And now I have ran across two different deals.

Car #1 is a 91 crx si that has 150k on the body and has mint exterior and interior that is 8/10. The only thing is that the wiring harness has been cut. He is saying the its just straight cuts but idk. The good thing is that I already have a wiring harness left over from my HF. He is wanting 600 bucks for it. But its very very hard to get ahold of the guy.

Car #2 is a 90 crx si that has 90k on the body and has mint exterior and interior. It has a ls swap(60k), exedy clutch, poly mounts, etc. He is wanting 2500 for it. I have seen this car run and it runs great. I just dont know much about LS swaps. I wanted something with a b16 instead.

I have found many other deals across eastern us. But I am still without a crx. Soooo heres my questions.
Which crx should I get?
Should I keep looking?
Is a LS a good motor?

#2...the LS is a great starting platform to work with.

 

#2. LS is strong and then you can boost it plus low miles

plus #1 sounds like there might be hidden problems.

 

I would go for the LS,but try to talk him down a little more.The LS is a good start,just get a b16 or gsr head and mod the ls block for lsvtec

 

a good b18 with a set of cams will own a b16 anyday, torque ftw

 

yea it sounds like the guy with the LS is selling it for that much because it has an LS... I would talk him down to 1500 the engine doesnt cost that much nor the clutch thats in there....

 

#2 , only cus for 600 sounds like trouble..

that dude wont sell it for 1500. that car has 90k on the body! plus a swap. he might take a couple hundred off but not a G

 

See thats what I am thinking. He actually said he is selling it for 2700. So what I am thinking is offer him like 2300 or so. What do you guys think??

 

whatever you do, do it quick. dont let that car go sounds like a great deal though

 

#3 fix that rex!! RHD conversion, sir front end, ZC, do it right

 

I am lacking to see the problem with buying all of them. Then you can have one for different occasions.

lol..Well I already have 2 other ones...I would love to have 40 rex's but my wife thinks three is enough.

My first plan was to buy that shell and fix it up. But the rust is just BAD!!!

 

Buy the LS swapped one, and put a VTEC head on it. Or sell the LS swap, and put a K series in it.

I understand....My wife thinks 4 CRX's, 1 Civic, 1 F250, and 2 motorcycles is a bit over the top. She mainly just thinks that the 4 CRX's are over the top though.

Pull out the old rex.Leave the body and wheels the way it is and just swap it.Sleeper

lol.. yea I have alot too. Lets see... 2 crx's, 97 ranger, 89 mustang, 95 mazda 626, 93 grand am, and a go kart....lol.

Well guys I have to call him tonight, I told him I would give him 2200 for it. The car used to be boosted but he took it off. IDK much more than that. I think 2200 would be a good deal though, this car looks NICE!

I'm poor. I just spend everything I have on my cars/what ever you consider a suzuki samurai. LOL. IF it is clean buy it. IT's hard to find a good clean rex these days.

 

Ill take some pictures of the car when I go up there...its not to far away from my house. I get nervous when I know I am about to get a crx.
