Default pics of finished product for who want to see

so im done with my CAI install and here are some pics of it. = )

here is a pic of my engine bay. thats my new ebay CAI and cusco 4-1 headers. yes they are cusco...ill post a pic of the headers down below.

had to make a little metal bar so the intake wont rattle against the metal = ) ghetto rig yes>.<

if you look closely, the connecting piece that is connecting the CAI pipe to the intake manifold, i left a gap to i could drill a hole and put the nitrous valve in there. not sure if you can see it in this pic.

my header and pipe

header pic #2

jasma badge on header

couple things

1) those fake bypass valve doesn't work, use the AEM one instead

2) not sure where you going to put your n20 nozzle at but, it's needs to be at least six inch from the throttle body, or one of the cylinder will suck in all the juice an blew up

Did you notice any big improvements in performance? High end, low end?

That "bypass" is actually looking like a "bypass wanna be", which is actually serving as a filter itself, because the airflow will be sucked from that point up.... and the actual filter at the end of the piping is pretty much useless.. considering no air will be sucked from down there!...

That bypass IS the new filter now. Im sure more air goes into that thing than the lower filter.

You got a nice header but a crappy intake setup. Weird.

So you are the guy who bought that Cusco header off ebay.

yes i saw a big difference, with my 75 shot before my header, and 2.5 in downpipe i would beat my ITR 1st gear then half of second then it would pull away hard and win by 7+ cars. then after the header and full exaust, i beat the ITR all the way up to 120+ then it slowly pulled...very slowly. thats with half bottle full too incold weather. raced at night to see how cars would run.

with my stock intake, i had my nozzle maybe 3 inches away or closer and everything ran fine. maybe its too close now? any other imput?

1)6 inch is the min. recommend by most of the n20 company, i didn't pull it out of my ****. sure, you don't feel a thing different now, just wait until the cylinder closest to the manifold took a dump. It's your car, your call.

2)an intake is not just an intake. if you are sucking in hot air in the engine bay by the second filter, why bother to get a CAI? it defend the purpose of it if you ask me. if you still haven't convice, get a datalogger and see the temp difference.

3)no comment of the ITR kill..ha.

any drill is fine, measure twice, cut/drill once

when i said an intake is an intake im talking about the piping wise. not talking about the bypass filter that i have in. should i heat the drill bit or anything before drilling to make it easier?

Thank you smart ***. I was just wondering if there was a noticable difference because I am thinking of getting a header and intake for my accord that I use as a daily driver to make it a little bit more peppier. I don't know how these motors respond to these kind of mods.

I've done motor swaps in EF's and done ghetto fabed turbo kits (not proud of it) so I do know some things, but again, just wondering how these motors respond to these mods.

yeah i saw a noticable difference. i see a real gain when the higher rpms due to the 4-1 headers. thats what my car lacked before was the high end.

Thanks gosu08. So it doesn't seem to drop off at about 5700rpm. I know on my F22b2 95 accord it seems to level off in power at those RPMs. How is the power on the lower RPMs?

And do you run a wet nitrous system or dry?

I installed an intake and header in my CD7 and I felt a difference. It pulls stronger at low rpms, and up high, there is a minimal butt dyno gain, but a gain nonetheless. However, I used AEM and DC Sports, not Ebay.

Thanks for the info I think I might get a header soon and a CAI and go from there.

Wow, the nitrous doesn't help out that much? I would assume the nitrous would be great throughout the RPM range and I thought it was a bad idea to activate it before 3000rpm?

yeah the nitrous helps out alot in my bottom end but when it came to my top end it didnt feel like it helped out at all. and yes it is a bad idea to activate it before 3000 rpm. i only spray after 3000+ rpm.
