I couldn't find any useful information, and I'm just too tired to search around extensively right now. Maybe after some sleep.. I'm considering picking up a super clean 86 si. Is there a lot out there for these? And just out of curiosity, what motor comes in the car, and what kind of power - or lack thereof, does it make? Of this generation crx, what was better about the si as compared to others? Thanks for information in advance
If your search comes up negative in this wonderful site then google it. That said SI=sport interior so you may use any assumptions from that. I personally have know idea what power is made but i'm pretty sure its a 1.5 so its probaby not too powerful. From my chiltons guide it shows a 1.5 MPFI. Hope this helps. You also might want to visit HASPORT.COM. They have some interesting mount kits for using B-series engines. The biggest problem is their suspensions are the worst honda has ever had. They boast a rear solid flag pole of an axle and torsion bars in the front. believe me that suspension makes me never want one but everyone to their own. I hope everthing works out well for you.

I could make plenty of assumptions but that wouldn't get me anywhere now would it?
Not to mention on the rest of Honda's SI's the upgrades weren't just in the interior so i was wondering what made this generation crx SI different compared to the other trim levels.

Wow. Just totally incorrect.
Si = Sequential injection. Introduced with the MPFI system.

First of all most of what everybody said is right it has the 1.5 MPFI, and yes the other tirms r carb, its not a bad lil car, All mine has is a CAI, and a stage three clutch, and a full cat-back, and I can dust a triton V8. If u put more than 150 lbs in the back the *** will squat. I bought mine with 117,xxx miles ,no rust, and the original Black Mettalic paint for $1000 (what a steal) . 5th gear could be better cause at 80 mph, I'm sittin at 3750 rpm.

Ive seen a lot of first gens toast 2g's/4g's at local autocrosses, it's not that the suspension is much worse, just a lot different.
That said, second the redpepperracing.com, parts are out there if you look. Start with ground control, opmautosports.com, and ebay for misc. parts (tokicos can also be found on ebay).
