mugen exhaust fitment question
not extremely worried, but i just got a mugen twinloop in the mail. so after i get it out the box, yeah the quality is top notch, my only question is i have a 2001 itr with header and stock cat. i ordered the us version exhaust. and on my packing slip it says the right one i ordered. but thrown into the box was the instructions, plus nuts, but it lists it for a 96 spec jdm itr, but with a different part #. this could easily be the guys at king throwing a different instruction book in the box, any way can i measure the b pipe on the exhaust to see if this will fit my car properly. someone point me in a direction. is there a serial # to check.
i did search and i saw another dc2 itr b pipe. and this mugen does the exact same right after the cat, goes from 2" to 2.25" so fairly certain a jdm midpipe doesnt bottleneck, plus the packing slip was in the box for my exhaust and it was the correct part #, i think the instruction booklet just found its way in there on accident.

i meant to say 2.25" to 2.5" after the resonator. my bad. i talked to king motorsports, exhaust and hardware are fine. mods can close this thread. i'll try and get pics up but i dont own a digital camera, but when people say its constructed well, they are telling you right.

A 96spec exhaust would be fitted in the exact same way as a 98spec or US spec ITR exhaust, and probably because the 96spec was the first ITR mugen made the exhuast for, they probably never bothered changing the instructions....anywho who needs instructions on how to fit and exhaust, it'll only bolt up one way so you cant get it wrong.
