I recently swPPED MY LS-VTEC MOTOR in my 94 ls and seem to have oil in the rear of my block and i really cant find wheres it coming from? I checked my oil filter, oil return line, and oil catch can i thibnk and those are all working.. Its only seems to squirt when i engage vtec??? I have no idea what else i could check?? any suggestions would be greatly appericated... thanks

 

was the head gasket put on backwards?

 

the part of the head were you had tapp. Did you tapped it correctly? It might be leaking from there. Once i had a ls/vtec i let my friend tapped it for me, well i guess he didnt do a great job!

 

yes, the head was tapped and installed bya machine shop, but only leaks in the rear when i engage vtec??

 

How are you sure it only leaks when vtec engages?

Where in the rear are you finding this leak?
