Default new si. 3rd pillar - c-pillar. blindspot?

hey i went and looked at a new si the other day, i like to scrutenize cars. i noticed that the c pillar is quite the blind spot, but i didnt get to drive the car. also the shifter felt a little loose, and clutch was too assisted. lemme know if anyones got a gripe with there new si? or little things u dont like about it. other than those things, the car seemed nice, and was quite roomey... too bad they sold it right after i sat in it, or ide of taken it for a spin

Yea the blind spots are very annoying but ive gotten use to them ive had a few issues with the gearbox like grinding 3rd a few times but it seems to be a common problem.

The shifter is far from loose or sloppy... gearbox is extremley tight and shifts very solid IMO. I've been driving my car for 3+months and never had issues with blind spots. And what do you mean by the clutch is to "assisted"? You say you didnt even drive the car yet you feel the need to "scrutenize" it. Honestly how can you tell how loose the shifter is or how assisted the clutch is if you havent taken it for a spin... ?

I'd reccomend TEST DRIVING one ...

im short, and i leave the seat low. but i can definitely agree that there are some blind spots. i also have 20% tint, so it doesnt help out that much. take one for a test drive before hatin on the tranny or anything associated with it. also, u didnt get to the vtec own!

Blind spots are bad due to the large pillars. I have a hard time at night when it is raining. Esp the front. Rest of all you cant beat a better car.

id agree that there are some blind spots... but you are completely nuts with your thoughts on the shifter. I think its the best i've ever owned...not sure what car you are used to driving...

pfft try driving a 350z at 5 o'clock traffic on 93 north. The blindspots in that thing are ridiculous. The Si, although not perfect, is way better to see out of than some cars.

The shifter feel changes dramatically when you actually crank the car and the fluids and gears begin to work. The blind spot only gives me problems on very long wide turns, not the usual city turns...

The little "break in my car please" mini-window up front does not help visibility at all in the sedan. I just got used to it. As for the back, about 75% of the time I physically need to turn my neck to check if theres anything in my blind-spot. I'll say again, got used to it

Aye, the only issue I have with the rear pillars is when I'm backing out of a parking space. I have to take it easy and make sure that I don't see any movement...like normal. The Z28 Convertable I owned had HORRIBLE visibility with the top up; the Honda is a dream compared to that.

i've noticied the blind spots a few times, especially on my parent's road...very hard to see incoming traffic, the angle of the road is perfectly hidden by the passanger pillar

no i havent driven one, and i was just asking for feed back. as for the clutch and shifter, ive driven alot of hondas / own hondas, that have more feed back from the clutch, and better / tighter shifters/ cable clutch crx's are the best for clutch feel. aside of this, i was just wondering what people thought of their cars/ if they didnt like anything. i drive about 3 - 4 diffent brands of car a day, and i find somthing i like and somthing i dont like about everyone of them. and if i were to invest in one, ide want others opinions. - thanks for the replys
