Default weird problem happening. (Battery Related)

hey eveyone, I got a 91 crx dx, and ive been putting back together, and i have all my grounds etc. hooked up, but when i hook up the battery, i put the positive one on, then i go to put the negitive on, and it starts sparking very badley, and started welding itself to the cable, i left it on for a min, and my cable going down to my starter started to burn, can anyone help me out?

Something is crossed man. The positive is grounding out. No doubt about that, recheck everything because you did mess something up putting it back together.

make sure you haven't gotten a wire under a bolt and tightened it down and caused it to ground out. Take your time and check every bolt that might have a wire pinched under it.

yeah man sorry to hear that but if your starter wire was burning then u need to replace that obviously but it could actually have something to do with what you're grounded to there are quite a few places that are terrible grounds. and as for the guy wasting his time in this thread whining about springs, make your own thread about it then whine dont thread jack when this guy is trying to get an answer to a question.

check your 10mm nut on the alternator make sure its not touching the housing of the actual alternator there should be another spacer/nut underneath it or else it will ark.

you sure you are not grouning your starter's positive wire because you say that everytime you connect the battery you starter wire goes out and melts there your problem man you might accedently be grounding your starter wire. make sure and please check that your have your wire of the starter nut 12mm going to the battery or just getting positive. i mean if something else was the problem than it would show itself. dont you think. so just check man not saying your stupid but just do it.

same thing with the starter happened to me awhile ago. its your postive wire connection. its probably broken. where the + goes onto the starter . . just get a new starter. .
