Default brake and rotor replacement

The front right side brake and rotor have gone bad... by that i mean they have been making screching noises when i hit the brakes. I took it to a bp gas station and the mechanic said it was going to cost me around 335 to get'em fixed. Should i go ahead or should i invest in something a little better in after market parts??

thanks

my SSBC big rotor system was $1200 just for the front.
$350 just for stock rotors and padds is just about right done on a shop like Midas wirh life time warranty.
Don't go to Honda!

Or go with Rotora rotors and padds

About $300

Pick up some Brembo blanks and some nice pads. Install yourself or bring it to a shop that'll do the work with the parts you bought yourself.

Ceramix pads (some kind of ceramic pad, asbestos is terrible, it's one of the last things I'd want to breathe in), some decent blank rotors, (I think slotted and crossdrilled are a waste of $$, do a search and read the link below on how often they crack), and get some good high temp brake fluid

WHY Blank rotors are better than cross drilled and/or slotted [Archived]

And whatever you do , do not go to a "Brake" place, they will gouge you and they mostly sell crap, buy your parts and have a quality mechanic put them on. It will most likely cost less.

I got rotors and pads for $100. Not a bad deal at all.
