Default saab turbo in a6?

alright so lately i have been working at my uncles house and he has a turbo to a sab just sitting around, he said he is just going to sell it on ebay, i could probably get it for free or cheap though anyway, but 1st i want to know if its possible/logical to put a saab turbo into an a6? what kind of ghetto riging would i have to do to make this work? how much about would i have to spend on additional parts?

Well the only things youcould pull from the car would be the turbo itself and maybe the IC, BOV and some of the piping but more than likely not to much...the saabs and volves usually have the T3 .42/.48 which is good for a a6, thats what I had on my old d series turbo set-up...you would need a lot of additional parts to make a turbo kit but you could make a kit for fairly cheap...

and you aren't to far from me, I can make you a manifold, downpipe and IC pipping if yo are interested

my uncle doesnt have the whole car he just has the turbo, turbo headers, and i think thats all he has from the volvo. i know nothing about turbo's or how to set them up, he is a mechanic but probably doesnt know much about them either. how much do you consider to be cheap?

Yes, you could do a junkyard turbo setup that would be pretty cheap. And it sounds like Loserkidwac would be willing to give you a hand. I would snag all those parts and get it on your A6.

Of coarse it'll work. I have a saab turbo hooked up on a b series, it just uses a T25 flange.

Yea you can use the turbo the mani is no use to you...depending on what year and model the turbo came off of it could be the T3 or the T25...

You don't need a front mount, hel yo don't need a intercooler at all but don't plan to make a lot of power or high boost levels...more than likely an ebay FMIC for $100 or so should meet all your needs...but here is a baisc turbo kit:

HF/STD exhaust mani w/ adapter plate
DSM Injectors 390 or 450
DSM side mount IC
DSM BOV
Chipped PM6 running TurboEdit
Custom Downpipe
Custom IC piping
Boost and Oil Pressure guages
Stealthmode Oil line kit
Vac hose
Silicone Couplers and clamps

I'm sure i missed some stuff but thats a cap kit I could think of off the top of my head...seriously pm if you really want to make a turbo kit I have built a few now and can do any of the welding/fabrication you need
