Default Some questions.

Hi Guys. I'm new here.

I might buy a 2nd Gen. CRX,

And I have a project about a little street setup.

Tell me if i'm right,

B16A - 160 Hp
Crower/Skunk 2 Stage 3 Cams - 20 hp
" " Springs & Retreiners
I/H/E - 15 Hp.
Thinner Head Gasket and milled head - 10 hp, more comp.

205 Hp, 165 Wheel HP, 14.0x seconds quarter miles in a 2300 pounds CRX.

My numbers are quite realistic I think,.

you're brutal

B16 i believe is rated at 160 to the crank...also, you'll need head work, fuel management, fuel mods, tuning...etc., to make those mods work properly with each other.

he did say 165 wheel. so yea...165 wheel with s2s3. youll have about 400rpms of power 9400-9800, and anything under that, it will feel like a d16z6 with a wet sock in the intake manifold.

fool said 'wet sock' LOL!!!!! AHAHHAHAHAHA!!!

you have to admit though that he still needs some fuel mods/upgrades and tuning in order for that motor not to lean out on high rpms right?

of course.

what i wanna know is why every johnny hardcock has to get a b16a cable swap for 1700 bucks, then log onto friggin honda-tech, slip into all motor thinking it means "not-turbo" and expect to impress people by sticking the biggest cams possible in it and expect 491hp.

why?

in a perfect world, such characters would grab a set of used ITR cams, find a used middle-of-the-road header, an "R" intake manifold, pay someone to socket their ecu, drive it to a dyno and return home happy with a reliable little 155whp b16 that you couldnt kill if you tried.

you seriously have people walking around asking cam selection questions that coudlnt tell the difference between their *** and an o2 sensor. im not sayin this kid is one of them but, you know who im talking about.

1. 400hp all motor lsvtec guy
2. how do you spoon an engine guy
3. ect ect

Never wanted to know a how to. Just wanted to know if my expectations were right. As for the difference between N/A and turbo, I know it.

And for the ITR cams, I thought about it. However, since I only wanted a mild street setup, I don't want to spend too much on the engine, personally. Not that I'm a ricer, but I will switch soon after, so I don't need a 10,000$ B16.

My idea was to take a B16, put in some camshafts, i/h/e, springs & retreiners, and that's it.

As for the Bench Racer thing, I don't care about this guy, personally. Everyone need to learn sometimes.

alright, against my will i tried to be helpful, HOWEVER... you jsut came in here and proved my initial theory correct. that is of course that, youre an asshat, with a stock b16 that has never searched for anythign on this site.

are you insinuating that ITR cams are too radical and too expensive? and that skunk2 STAGE3s are the solution? son, thats a huge high lift borderline race only cam that is way way way way too big for an otherwise stock 1595cc motor.

someone gives you some decent advice and you dismiss it in favor of what you think you ******* know, which in actuality isnt a damn thing.

as for the difference bewteen NA and turbo you know it. as for the difference between your *** and a hole in the ground, you dont.

True that ITR cams can be cheaper.

Howeevr I might not have better hps, but that would be only between 9400-9800, maybe. ITR might be better, like you said.

I don`t care about insult. If I don`t know what you know, then i1m here to learn. I don`t knoweverything, plus i`m more specialized in muscle cars.

It`s true that I haven`t searched alot on this website, my questions was only about my expectation as hp gains. But you are right, RPM might be a problem.

I just wanted max hps, so I decided to put in a Stage 3, with valves springs and retreiners. I was wrong. Now I learn. Get over it with your insult.
