Quick question. Can the tps cause the throttle to break up and cut back as you lay in to the gas? Thanks.

Yes, if it is giving weird voltage to the ECU. Check the TPS, it should be under .5 at closed throttle, ~4.5 at WOT.

can the plug on a jdm h22 distributor be depinned? I have done this many times with d and b series distributors. I ask because i am in the middle of switching from b to h and cant seen to depin the wires from either side of the plug. I really dont want to cut and splice. Thanks in advance.

Yes, it uses the same as OBD1 B/D series.

i know the wires are the same, but why cant i pull the wires out of the plug. I try to use the same technique as i do with b and d series, by using a small pin or a nail to pop the pin out of the plug, but the wires dont budge.

Yeah, it is the same plugs.

Sometimes JDM connectors (I guess they sit without someone messing with them) are tough to pull the pins out.

I pull the white covering off, then push up and in with the pin, it always comes out without a problem.

You should be able to, I have never tired it, so take it with a grain of salt.

BTW, you try the other dealership around you. Some dealers can a bigger instock parts then others

What would be the compression on a H22 block, f22 crank, f22 rods, and type s pistons? Would the piston even clear the head?

Stock civic wheel bearings are fine, go OEM.

12.12:1 and the piston will be .020 out of the bore.

Q: What will a stock h22a run in a CRX with a T3/4 w/9psi spring (vac line to turbo)

A: 11.8 first run, 11.6 second run.

Thanks for all the help in the previous h22 threads guys. subscribed.

If you go OBD1, you wold have to get a H22a1 because if you swapped in a h22a4, you would have to do OBD2.

I heard that OBD1 is better for tuning, can someone confirm this.
If so, what are the advantages of tuning over a OBD2 car?
