CRX jdm spoiler wing questions.........
I just got a JDM spoiler for my 90 crx off ebay. The only problem is that only one of the posts has the original gasket on it. I have found some rubber that i can cut to fit, but its too hard. Does anyone know where to get the foamy gaskets that Honda uses? If i could get a 12 by 12 sheet i could cut out the gasket. Thanks
pretty much anything will work- what is the problem with the rubber?
craft stores carry a closed cell neoprene that is pretty close to the foam and would be cheap, easy, and effective.
your local auto parts store will have gasket making materials, but probably just paper stuff.

I called my local dealership and they did not have only the gasket. I have been everywhere locally and all i can find is twice as think as the oem stuff. I figured with as many people with these spoilers, someone has had this same problem. I tried the new foam that i found, but the spoiler sit alot higher on the car and i didnt think it looked right when i compared it to the pics on here of others cars. Thanks.....
3m double sided sticky tape, you can find it at menards. its good strong stuff that will hold anytwo things tgeather. i actuly use it to attatch two pieces of wood to router out speeker rings
but im sure it will work for your spoiler and its not all that thick eather.

Don't drill holes in perfectly good bodywork.
For all the parts I sell I always reccomend using window bonder/sealant to mount the wings. Heeps muck from getting under there, and you keep your body panels hole-free.

Do your other windows fall out at high speed?
There are various kinds of bonding agents out there. Over here I use one called "Sikaflex". But that's a dutch product.
There are also 2-component epoxies that are REALLY strong. But those are overkill for just bonding a fibreglass spoiler to the back.
