Can i do this myself? 92 accord accident repair
hey some of you know i got hit on my drivers side by a truck, the drivers wheel is offset slighty to the inside from the top. I took off the wheel and looked at it and saw what was bent, my questions are can i replace these parts myself? or is there something more involved or bigger than i see what i can do this. I only had a car jack but these are the pictures i got, two are of specific bent spots and one whole thing
i dont know what that thing is called
the rubber grommet gave away that this piece was damaged, dont know what thats called either
and theres with the wheel off, you can see how bent that piece is now.
What do you guys think? someone told me this was only a minor repair but id like to check before i break my *** getting off those difficult bolts

ya that stuff is pretty easy, i belive you will just need a ball joint tool, to pop the ball joints and bushings from eachother

pretty easy, i did it all when i replaced my cv axles, its pretty basic, once you dive into it you will see, i thought it was gonna be tough doing the axles and then i dove into it and it was all just basic common sense type of thing

:scratches head:
I'm looking at where the upper A arm attaches to the body... and it looks to be bent there as well. If so, the new upper arm won't line up correctly.
It's hard for me to say.

Looks like can be fixed on ur own but there might be a lil frame damage that is not sein. If there is an issue with aligment that might be an issue with farther issue
Well a while ago i crashed into a curb from the left side, and damaged basically all of the same parts
But on mine after i replaced all the parts, and aligned it, the steering wheel would still whip to the left, in that case i losend a few of the sub frame bolts and shifted it so it was straight, and it was fine
But Everything there you can by yourself, Its a matter of taking off bolts, hammering stuff straight, and putting the new parts on.
But thats the easy part, your gonna need an alingnment also

well, my steering wheel pulled a little bit even before the accident, it got a little worse after, like on its own pulled towards the drivers side, now it does it same direction (of course) a little worse.
where can i acquire this ball joint tool, and should i have an extra person there to help me?

you can get a ball joint removal tool at an autozone or kragens, you can do it yourself its easy. I just replaced the whole front end with all new bushings and ball joints took an afternoon to do. From what I see it is the upper control arm and outer tie rod but check out if the inner tie rod was bent also. those items are just flimsey metal it dont take much to bend them so that might be the only damaged parts but just check the whole thing to be sure.
well, if i cut my wheel all the way i hear a noise coming from the wheel area, maybe a brushing or grinding? dont know if that helps the diagnosis,
i will say i drove the car the day after to work and around town and it was fine, i didnt know it was damaged till i got a good look at it and was like "**** my wheel sitting crooked"
