when making a poster, its good to not only have a large image in pixels but to have a high resolution image.
you are probably working in 72 resolution and print resolution is around 300
and it also helps to go by measurements (inches) rather than pixels

Seems kinda weird to me.

i dont think so. I mean, I am proud to say that i have installed 99% of everything on that list. I like it when people say "awww sweet car man" etc, and I take it as a personal compliment. I actually feel its more appropriate to put my own car/design on my wall, because it represents me, other than some random person's work.

No biggie. Just seems strange to me.
Kinda like making a poster of yourself and hanging it up in your room.
*shrug*

you could try kinkos because they do large size prints, but unless you work with someone that gives a ****, most likely it won't come out better than mediocre. Most digital printing places charge anywhere between 5-10 dollars a square foot, so a 24"x36" could cost you something around $50. Check your local yellow pages for a digital printing company, even some sign shops (such as 5thDIMENSIONSignworks: http://www.5dgraphics.com) could do this type of work.
