PC 800 misfire/ ignition problem
I bought a 89 Pacific Coast, and it has a strange problem.
The bike has four plugs(2 per cyl)controlled by two coils, one for the front plugs and one for the rear plugs. the bike runs reasonably well on the rear coil only, but backfires and misses badly when the front coil is hooked up.
I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, the coils are hooked up correctly as near as I can tell, and it seem to me that the front and rear coil for each cylinder should fire about the same time to get a full burn of fuel, but obviouly something isn't right.
Anyone have a similar experience with a PC 800, a Shadow 800 which uses the same engine set-up, or any other type of bike that uses dual coils?
Any input or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks :
