anyone else break stock steel wheels?
i drive hard in the mountains(paved) and am rolling the stock 13" steel wheels right of the rim center section.
lookin for alloys to swap and hopin they will be stonger.
anyone know how much a stock alloy wieghs compared to steelie?
and before you scream at me-i need RUBBER between my skinny butt and the road so no-im not up-sizing to 14/15.
and since i do 1,000 miles/week im a phrickin cop-magnet already so no need to attract more attention.

i had a 1974 volvo 145 with sway bars, kyb gas adjust, and 205 55 14 (or somtghing like that) and i broke 2-3 rear steel wheels right around the seats where the nuts tightened up, so i have seen it happen. there are some posts in here with all the oem wheel wieghts- might even be a sticky. searching this site works pretty good.
