Most desireable? Sh or base? Possibly buying a prelude soon.
I will probley keep the car stock. Just a daily. Add wheels, coilovers, system, tint. No hardcore racing, just some spirited drives on occasion. Probley some casual street drag races will be done. I am thinking the base would be just as good because it doesn't have the ATTS. Anyway, just found an awesome Prelude, not sure the mileage, year, or if its an SH. Will find that out today. It is a 5th gen though.
Well if your going to leave it stock I would go for an SH. Base ludes are better for engine modifications. Somthing like at 300 hp the SH cant handle.

Buy a base - Just in case you decide later to do any heavy modification you will have the right equipment to start.
If you buy an SH, you may someday have to start over with a base anyway.

SH! stock for stock its better. (make sure its a 5 speed)
You only run into problems with atts if you're making 300+hp. so.. no mods no problems!

ATTS is a cool feature for sharp cornering. Otherwise the two have the same power and are basically the same besides small details. However if you want to go big (built turbo setup) i would strongly advise a base to avoid the headache of dealing with the SH ECU and ATTS.
eh, sounds about right. you should be able to pick one up for under 7 tho. Keep in mind with the higher mile ones that a timing belt change might be right around the corner. Once I bought a 2.0L VW with 116000 miles that never had one done! I was so lucky i changed it asap. I personally love the 5th gen prelude. Good luck finding one.
Already found
From what I can tell its a base model, 5spd, cloth interior, some sort of radar detector, clean looking head unit, pristine silver paint, smoked Konig wheels, tint, and exhaust mod. Looks very clean. I will intend to call the guy to find out the exact specs including price and mileage.

IMO it all depends on the condition and the price. For example if you find a great deal on a mint SH get it. Nice condition Preludes are getting harder and harder to find.
