H22A5 in a 4gen Prelude 2.3si
Got a H22A5 engine very cheap and since my H23a2 engine is pretty much dead, I want to swap the h22a5 to my Prelude. After reading a bit on the net regarding engineswaps, I've understood that this should be possible. I've also figured out that I need to get a ODBII ECU, or would a P13 ODBI ECU work together with the H22a5 ? Since the ODB II ECU (P5M) probably has Immobilizer on it, ODBI ECU would be better for me? Or am I way out on the fields....?
Anybody who can help me choose the right ECU?

You'll also need the OBDI H22 injectors and reuse the distributor from the H23.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Well..having some trouble finding H22 injectors.. could I use the H23 injectors temporary while I'm searching for H22 injectors..? Will it do any damage using them for a while?
By the way.. I'm european...from Norway.
H22a5 = 97+ euro 2.2 vtec Prelude
H23a2 = 92-96 euro 2.3 non-vtec Prelude

you really should not use the h23s with an obd1 p13. the ecu is mapped for a 345cc injector and the h23s i believe are less then 300 I cant remember off the top of my head.
the car will run lean with the h23s. which is unsafe.

agreed. if anything run it on the h23 ecu with h23 injectors and go without vtec for awhile. still not 100% ideal, but should get you in the ballpark.

i am running a obd II h22 in my 94 si and made it obd I but did not change injectors.
OBD I H23A= 245cc
OBD I H22a= 345cc
OBD II h22a= 295cc (which is what i have even tho i am obd I now)
They are great and i see no difference. leaner is faster but will burn a hole in the piston if too lean. But i think it isnt much leaner than it would regularly be because i have a cel for code 12 (egr inssuficent lift detected)
