B16 knuckle swap? keep stock crx knuckles??? or change them (help)
i am swaping my b16 in to my 91 crx and i did the swap in a 89 civic, but i changed the knuckles to integra(90-93) because i was told i had to but now i realize that the stock knuckles in my crx are 26 spline and so are the axles i am using(integra 90-93) so can i keep the stock crx knuckles on the crx or do i have to change them to the integra knuckles because of something i am overlooking besides the bigger braking system
You will be able to use the stock knuckles. Just make sure you have the non abs axles, since you will run into fitment issues at the back of the knuckle. Only reason to use the 90-93 knuckles is if you want the brake upgrade.
ok if your crx or civic is an std or hf you will need to swap them. unless they have been swapped in the past. but i would stick to the teg knuckles just cuz there bigger and you get more stopping power.

Have you tried to use ABS axles on your car?
ABS axles work fine for me. I've tried them with stock knuckles, and with DA knuckles. No problems here.

For some reason once when I got a new passenger side axle I ran into problems and there weren't any rings to remove, all one solid peice. After searching on the ID of the part, it appeared to be the ABS version instead of the non that I ordered. Got a replacement and everything fit fine after that. Spline count was fine on the bad one, its just when I started to tighten up the axle nut, it seized up the axle from rotating.

Not exactly.. A DX model CRX is considered an STD
but does not require different hubs..

I swapped whole front suspension from LCA to UCA including axles on my 5 speed LS teg from a Auto ABS teg and the axles were identical both had the ring on them for the ABS sensor and the non ABS hub/knuckle even have the slot for the ABS sensor on them...just my experience but i assume all teg axles ABS or non and manual or auto are the same..atleast for 90-93
