i know this is a stupid question but i really wanna get the most power outta my motor with my "refund check" and im a lil confused as to what mods i should get. i plan on going n/a and my goal is to reach 200whp (i know that $2k is not gonna do it but it'll get me closer). here's what i got so far:
jdm h22
p28 chipped(jdmshit)
custom 2.5" exhaust(straight pipe)
es oval 2.5"
cai
i was thinking about getting a header(anr most likely, dont know if i wanna spend $1100+ for smsp or hytech), type s pistons, and maybe some type s cams? what do you guys think?

rmf header, type s pistons, stage 2 or 3 cams and valvetrain, and tuning should put u way over 200whp.
just the header and tuning will get you close. maybe if u add some head work or a IM and Hondata IMG u might get closer to 200 as well. not sure tho, but the first suggestion should def get you there.

Save some serious money, buy an ebay intake and a k&n filter. that will give you a couple hundred more to play with and you will get the same look and power gains. I agree with ^ get a set of rmfs and purchase a hondata. That will run you about 2000 dollars with a tune, and you will get the most power the fastest with those mods. the other mods require labour that you would have to pay for if your not a skilled mechanic, and you would not see the gains that these three items will give you combined. the other mods would help make more power combined with these mods. However alone not nearly as much. Just my 2 cents
for one get rid of the p28 and the chip...well at least the chip and get hondata.
header rmf 800-1000?
cams and valvetrain 1000
hondata 275
tune 400
so not sure what you will want to do but hondata and header would be where i would start

not to be the ******* to tell u to go a different way, but for a little over 2k u can have 300 whp on stock block, with potanial to go over 500whp with a built engine...how u say my turbo kit will be up for sale very shortly and i ll give u a good price. i may sell my hondata s100 with boost to u also...

check out that thread. however every engine will put down difference numbers and it obviously depends on that tune as well

get a str 70mm throttle body and type-s cams and skunk 2 cam gears and tune that SOB on a hondata s200 and its ova. a dc header can get the job done for 200whp but if u want more go for a rmf, hytech G/L update this so we know how it went
3 camshafts?
i'd say tuning (requirement)
custom header of your choice (smsp, RMF, SSR, Hytech)
BPi flowstack
70mm throttle body
Euro R manifold

does that outperform the blacktrax stage 2 or 3 manifold?

mine was $550 from what i hear thats about average, but definately depends on the shop. and you have to take them the head for that kind of cost. you really dont need to do that to reach 200 hp though.
Mod's support each other. intake, them bigger throttle body, nice IM, some cams, quality header, and out to a nice exhaust. Then if you must a nice port to get your flow maxed out. And tune
true but its not a necessity for good hp. ive seen many high hp cars with no porting done. it would probably be easier and cheaper for the op to go another route other than port and polish
