Default Have you prepped your car for the EXPO.?

In the last week I have,

Removed both airbags, all of the wiring, the control unit, extra bracing and installed my Sparco wheel

Removed intake manifold, had it angle milled, and reinstalled with Hondata gasket.

Turned stock rotors so they are ready for the Hawk Blues again.

I'm heading to the dyno in a couple of hours for some runs.

Still need to have ID stickers made for the window, and order a fresh set of hoosier.

I don't usually have this much time, but I don't start my new job for about 2 weeks.

Mattj

From CGI website:
Q. Do I need a safety helmet?
A. Yes a Snell 95 or 2000 approved helmet is required.

Brett and I will be hosting a group buy on several Bell helmets very soon. (within the week)

I will keep you all posted. No official word on pricing yet, except expect better pricings if we get 20 or more helmets sold! (I am not making 1 dime off of this btw)

I'd say buying a helmet without trying it on is a bad Idea, Unless you were to already have the same helmet and size to try on from a friend or if you went to a store and tried on said helmet.

Have you prepped your car for the EXPO?
My car is ready at all times...
You never know when you may need to drive on the track.

Panther+ pads on the rear.
PantherXP pads on the front.
ATE super Blue in the brake lines.
Mobil 1 in the engine.

I may try and get a 'track' muffler constructed before the expo... and install another intake.

Well... I changed fluids a few weeks ago. But since then I did BMW CCA track events at Putnam Park and at Road America, so I'm not sure that counts.

I'm gonna swap pads, but I'm not sure that counts, either, since I'm doing another BMW CCA event at Mid-Ohio immediately before the Expo.

Oh, and I bought a couple more track tires, so I can bring an extra one with me to Mid-O and the Expo, since one of mine is pretty worn.

It would be nice to caravan, although I'll be leaving to early for the local f00ls

No I'm not ready at all. I have a list longer than this thread of things I should really do.... but I'm pretty broke from my hatchback project... Things I will do before expo:

Change timing belt
New cap, rotor, wires, plugs
Adjust valves
Change tranny fluid
Flush/bleed brake fluid
Turn rotors
Buy new pads
Buy new rotors
Change oil
Track alignment
Install stock front sway bar
Get slicks mounted
Wash/wax

The Mugen R is running like poopy lately - well ever since I took it to Florida/Atlanta and got bad gas from Potter Spurlock in the NC mountians which cuased some knocky knock at 18degrees. Well she still made 179whp at 16degrees... but it feels like a turd compared to the hatch. Anyway I gots a lot to do.

Clayton - who wishes he didn't have a job for the next two weeks and $5k cash money

I think I'm screwed!
Probably need FR wheelbearing.
I'll be checking/prepping the car this weekend in Youngstown (at my Mom's).

Ain't I a great kid to visit my dear old Mom, on Mother's Day!

well since I decided not to spend money on my 93Beater, I guess I'm ready. Do need to fix the P/S system cause it leaks, get a helmet (or more likely, borrow one) and mount some street tires on the beater.. oh and buy a truck.. and prep the trailer.. fuxor.

Truck = U-haul?
Trailer = done?
rotors = Autozone ('95 Acura Legend 4 door sedan Le/SE model)
mount tires on rims = $8 each ad BJ's whole sale club if you get to Charlotte in time.
get helmet = jegs/summit = easy job
get new glasses/contacts = coke bottles?
