the dc5 and ep3 both have alarms. im not sure if the teg did or not i dont think it did. they also have chipped keys that need an ecu thats programmed with the key to start the car. i would say they get stolen some but not nearly as much as an older teg or civic.

A normal DC5 or EP3 will not draw all that much attention. I mean, you should paint your daily driver blue and yellow and have SPOON on it in big letters. Just use some common sense.

Well for me, I would choose a DC5, get the type S, I think that it looks much better than the EP3. IMO.

if someone really wanted to steal an ep3 or dc5, they would tow it. No car is unstealable.

Actually people steal those as well, just like Accord being one of the most stolen vehicles... Huge market outthere for people looking for cheap parts...

anyways, just get good insurance, thats the best way to protect yourself against car theives...

I currently drive an EP3, its got so much potential and very fun to drive. Nonetheless If I had a chance to do it all over, I would have chosen the DC5-S but if you're talking about base DC5, i say EP3 ftw.....

Heavy, inferior suspension design, etc ...

The Type-S has a desirable motor, but the older Integras are better-driving cars.

Im also intersted in these 2 as well. I like the desing of the ep3 better .I also like the power of the type s better then the ep 3. Can you make the ep3 just as fast with a jackson racing sc? Or is there such an animal. I have seen them on a type s but not on a ep3. Ep3 are generaly cheaper to buy buy about 3-5k. Can i make up the diffrence in power with the money savings.

generally jsrced EP3 with reflash/k-pro would beat a stock type-S ... but it wont beat a type S with I/H/E and Reflash/Kpro...

If you're paying Cash for the Car yeah you can use that $3000 you saved to get a turbo kit and you'll be spanking S2ks..

Otherwise, if you're financing the whole or most amount, there's really no point...

Correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I know inorder to swap out a K20a2 in to another car you have to have and accesss code for it and you have to get it from a dealer(which involves proving where you got it and so on). And for the Ep3 and non type-s, I don't think that anyone is going to steal that car unless that are looking for a ride, cause that motor is kinda schouty. I mean you can do things to it but as for the resale value you really not going to make much money on it. So go for what makes you happy!
