Default How to fix this (wiring harness)

Ok so in my newbness I cut up my stock harness in order to run my mini-me in my 91 hatch. What I did was splice in obd1 ecu plugs in place of the obd0 ones now im having all sorts of issues. The car is thowing 5 codes and generly runs like ***. What I was going to do was use a partial obd1 harness from the ecu to the motor the only thing I couldent figure out was waht to do the passenger side plug. My othe option was to change the harness with another obd0 one but the only one I can find localy is from a 90 lx sedan. What would you do?

Ouch that sounds rough. I would probably try to contact Rywire and see if they can be of some service.

Swapping out main harnesses is a pain, but doable. Otherwise, you'll just have to redo your current splicing with good connections (solder them if you didn't previously) & make sure that you have the correct wires spliced together. Good luck

It looks as if my cheap, fast and easy way out turned into long hard and expensive I may just park it for the winter and look for another shell come spring. My curent shell has seen better days 15 years of ohio winters means lots of rust and im finding more everyday.

just fix it. get both wiring diagrams and figure out what goes where. I did my mpfi conversion that way.

it takes time but very doable

do you have both harnesses?

get the manual and check wiring, go by colors since theyre out of position, and the ones that are same color ( sensor grounds{greenblack}, map sensor{white} ) you can run direct wiring to the ecu for those.
