Default 93 hatch tranny into a 91 std. hatch

i need to know if a 93 tranny will work in a 91 std. hatch. I have one and i know that the mount seems different in the back but i want to know what else is different? I also have all of the hydro setup to covert the 91 to a hydro setup. what else do i need?

It won't bolt directly up since the 92 and up civics were all hydraulic and all civics before the 92 are cable. Like Tippyman said, you can use the hasport hydraulic tranny in a cable car conversion kit that they sell. I believe it's around $150ish last time I looked.

I have a d-series tranny and hasport only makes stuff for b-series. I want to use a 93 hatch tranny mated with my 91 civic engine. this is just my commuter car. I have all of the parts just need to no if some one has done this and how hard it is ?

your best be is to sell it and use the money for a cable tranny, unless you know someone who can fab up one for you, i hear it not incredibly hard

Way more work than it's worth IMO.

Especially since cable d-series trannies can be found for cheap.

I bought my mint Si tranny for $50.

*shrug*

i agree with you but i can't find a cable tranny within 300 miles of my house so is it worth it to spend the 250 dollars in gas to get one from a 8 hour drive in any direction or should i suck it up and use what i have. besides this tranny i have was free and all of the hydraulics were free and the pedal was free! I just need some input on how to do it not how to change my mind. Unless someone can find me a cable tranny around PULLMAN, WA.

The only reason it would be worth it to go hydro is because they have a lot less miles son them. I got my Si tranny, centerforce dual friction clutch, and Si flywheel for $200. It's cheap, but you won't be snatching up deals like that forever.

how much do you think it cost me to drive 350 miles round trip to pick up a tranny for $100 or even a $50 tranny? At 14 miles to the gallon (dodge ram 1500) and 700 miles to travel to get a cable tranny round trip in any direction thats 50 gallons of fuel. The current cost of fuel in pullman washington is 2.63 per gallon. that equals $131.5 is it worth it to drive and pay more than a tranny to get one? im not sure thats why i wanted peoples honest opinion on how to make this build repair work. I just want advise on how to help my fitment problem.
