ok i have a 93 del sol with a 93 teg b18b i just got the car so dont know much about it. but when you first start it up in the mornings it smokes bad you can smell alot of gas and runs like sh-t till it worms up. but even then you can still smell fuil bad. what could it be ?????

 

is there a cel? is there a cat converter on the car?

 

no i cut it off today it was stoped up u could not see through it but you can still smell gas fumes. but it seams to run better

i would put i new cat on that would help then maybe do a tuneup /check timing

Thats a start. What ecu are you using?

i knew i couldent remember something

 

i did a tune up on the motor and it still does it the timing is good.
and the ecu is the stock ecu that came out of the teg the motor
came out of

 

this may sound stupid but i had the same problem...i mean mine still smokes but i'm running straight pipe...gas fumes may be coming from the fuel rail...check that

 

i have changed every thing i could think off. all new tune up timing is good
i also tride a new ecu and it still do's the same thing. i am geting way to much fuel
when the motor is cold it smells like raw gas coming out the muffler with alot of smoke. but when it worms up it run good you can still smell fuel but not as bad
can some one plzzzz help thanks

 

maybe u have a leak in a fuel line or tank or the line that goes to the charcol canister cause only the fumes go through that one if i understand

 

i do not have the charcol canister hooked up

 

still cant find out what it is. plzzz help thanks

well this is most likely whre your smelling the gas from..where did u disconnect to vent tube from the tank to the canister
