How rare are the light Green Ek's hatches? I have seen very few in my area (SW Missouri) and was considering going with one just because they are something different. Does anyone know the exact rarity of them and if that color was produced from 96-00 or was it just produced in certain years? Thanks, -Clay

 

a friend told me only the 96 came with the color

 

forgot the name (midori maybe??) but yeah it was only made in 96.

 

yea its midori green and it only come on 96 civic in very limited quantities

There is one that color for sale up in Chicago right now. It's all beat to hell and the hood cable is broken so you can't open the hood. I wasted my time looking at it because the guy said it was in good shape.

Oh, the other day I found a set of fog lights that were supposed to be 96-98 "factory style" at work the other day. On the box it had a picture of a hatch that color with the JDM bumpers, but I think it was actually Japanese. I tried to sell them to some kids and tell them they were incredibly JDM and if they bought them they would be the ****, but they didn't go for it. They're buying Matrix ones . Anyway, now I don't work there, so the true JDM goodness will never be appreciated by anyone who deserves it.

Those are OEM JDM EK bumpers. They may not be better, but they are pretty damn unique.

 

if you think thats rare, back in 94 or 95 i came across an si hatch that was painted del sol bright green color, and i had a chance to talk to the owner and he said he bought the car brand new with that color, and that he had requested it from the factory, don't know if he was lying or what, but the paint did look like it came from the factory

this last one is very purrty....imo would look better with the center caps taken off and tha wheels laike a shiny silver....also a lil too low for my taste.....but still a ver nice car
