Help with heat/o2 sensor plus e85 gas.
What controls how hot the heat gets.. it feels like my heat isn't getting as hot as it should be. I think the thermostat is something but im not sure.
I also am wondering about the o2 sensor. It went bad and i haven't replaced it yet, but i do plan on it because i think my gas mileage is suffering terribly, and so is my acceleration. Can anyone tell me how to get the sensor out, i have manuals but they aren't clear.
And does anyone know if this car can run on e85 without any mods, just curious because i read somewhere some cars 1998 and up can.

how to get o2 sensor out: disconnect wire and unscrew sensor.
NO you can't run an accord on E85. The corrosive properties of alcohol will degrade your fuel lines.

its ok, i think e85 is even more than normal gas.
Do i need some special tool to get out the o2 sensor?
and what about the heat?

When you turn that heat **** it in turn opens a valve on the coolant line entering your heater core. Look at your engine block on the passenger side and you will see a small coolant line going from your block through your firewall. Have someone turn the heat on and turn the **** from cold to hot and make sure that valve is opening fully.
i will, but i've noticed that when turning from cold to hot, i have to hold it down and then i can hear a closing sound. i just replaced the radiator and coolant, so i will look for the line. Is this the heater valve?

But often you can use a normal wrench with some creativity.

there's a SAE socket that fits 99.99%
