I got my GSR done today and finally got to drive it. Still waiting for my cat back so I'm stock from the test pipe back. WOW, what a monster! I'm so glad I went GSR. Torque is incredible. Anyway, it's a JDM motor and I don't know if it has the lsd or not. Is there an easy way to tell?

 

One way is to look through your diff before you would have put your axles in and if you can see throught them then you have lsd if there is a bar through the middle then you dont. Lsd in a gsr is very rare even in a gsr.

 

He's right. If you can see straight thru then you have LSD. Right before i put in my swap my mechanic pointed that out to me so i can see for myself and I do have it. I just haven't learned how to use it to well and the launches but that takes time i guess.

 

the true way to check if you have lsd is jack the car up, put it in gear , turn one wheel- if the other spin the same way then its a lsd...or look for the lsd stamp on the tranny thats my 2 cents thanks for your time.

it is a way to tell, but the sure way is buy peeking through the diff hole. Another way is by checking to see if there's an LSD stamp on the front tranny casing.
