Hey guys i just got done my h22 swap in my 95 civic hatchback i tookl it out last night for a little bit and i had reverse before i left my house by the time i had got back to my house that night the reverse was gone i cant even use reverse i have no idea what could have happend please help thanks

 

hows the tranny fluid?, did you try going into another gear and then reverse.

 

are you just not able to get it into gear?

what happens?

cable or bracket might have slipped off or something.

 

ive read about this before,,,check the shifter box, mabye how the box is lined up

yea tranny fliud is good i checked its not that

 

yea i cant get it into gear its like i am blocked out of it it wont even go in if the car is off and when i use the clutch it wont go in i have no idea what is wrong?????

 

i had that same problem with several h/f series trannies. they usually result from a bent shift fork or the slider in the transmission burs up on the end, keeping it from selecting reverse. common symptoms include difficulty getting into 5th. Thats actually why i ditched the H B

 

Do i have to take the whole tranny out to fix the shift fork or the slider or can i take off the cap where the shift linkages are and connect to ????

 

you got to pull the whole tranny apart. and if its anything like mine was its easier to pull the whole engine.
