On my 89 prelude i went to change the plugs today, and a good amount of oil was around the plug wires on the spark plug, and where on the socket that i used to get the spark plugs out. What is this oil telling me?

its the oring seals on the valve cover.

Go get a COMPLETE valve cover gasket kit and it will come with the 4 orings that are leaking. and the actual valve cover gasket.
