riding cluch?????

Default riding cluch?????

i recently put a competion stage 1 clutch in my 92civic, i am new to drivign stick would like to noe if i am riding my clutch wen releasing out of 1st gea, i rev to about 1800 and let my clutch go within 2.5 seconds, is this considered riding the clutch ??? if it matters my car idles at only 600- 700

"riding the clutch" is when you rest your foot on the clutch pedal when cruising, as long as you keep your foot off the clutch when you cruise youre not "riding the clutch"

why are you revvn so high to take off? 1800 seems high to me or ur jus a beginner right keep pratice.

so technically even if i am in 3rd gear and my foot is even a little bit on the clutch pedal that is bad for my clutch?

there is no reason to rest your foot on the clutch unless your about to shift, you may be putting slight pressure on it, therefore disengaging it slightly which would not be good over time.

Whatever you can without killing the car. Just practice. It is possible to "get out of 1st gear" without any gas. Just have to let it out slowly.

You will find a good balance between the high revs and not killing the car with practice.

if i get out of 1st with even a thousand rpms and it does nto stall but my car shakes is that ok 4 my car???

No. Violent shaking is bad. Quit typing, get in your car, drive to an empty parking lot, and just practice starting. You don't even have to go to an empty lot, just practice in your subdivision.
