Default Taking IM off ?

Yesterday I was going to install my hondata IM gasket I had the fuel rail and injectors out and had all the nuts on the top of the IM off. I went to get the ones on the bottom of the manifold off and it was a PITA. It was late so I just said forget it for now. How did you guys get them off because there was like zero room to work ?

Have a couple different wrenches (open-ended, 12-point, etc) and go at it from below....I usually only get like 1/8 turn or something intil it's loose

theres no way in hell i can get an air rachet in there. It is SOO tight in there. And From below would prolly be even harder. There so much **** in the way i cant get to the 2 center nuts.

you can get to the bolts on the underside of the IM easily. There is space. You just need to try different angles.

Make sure you have varying length extension bars and it is not that hard.

Yea Cruise is out and Intake is out. Fuel rail injectors are all out. I got all the nuts besides the 2 center ones on the bottom.

Remove the black vaccum box and support brace? With those out there should be plenty of room.

once you remove the old one, to save you all the hassle of putting it back, put a smaller IM in this time...ie. euro-r hehee

There isnt any room to get in there to disconect the IM bracket. Theres coolant line, vacumm lines, the a wiring harness all in the way going from up top. And underneath there no way i would have to unbolt the exhaust, and drop the support there that connects to the LCA, steering rack and rear motor mount. I seriously have no space i dont know how anyone has plenty of room because i dont even have room to take the stuff of to make more room.

This is all I found on the subject. It seems that on the base you guys are able to do this differently.
