But do you no the whole number because I have a p13 the number is 37820p13n01 but when I put it in it runs like crap. But if I put the p39 in it runs pretty good but I dont get V-tec I dont no what is happening.

All you need to know is p13, the other numbers are just part of a serial number probaly used for a date/location produced etc.

ps. P39 is supposedly an australian 92-95 Accord sohc vtec is what came up in search... definetly not even close to the right ecu for your motor. Secondly its not hitting vtec because the sohc's do not have a knock sensor and i believe that is why it isn't working ( and thank god at that, its for a much smaller motor)

thats because a p39 is a nonvtec ecu

what do you mean it runs like crap. If you want information, you have to give us some first. Please dont go around putting in random ecu's and racing your engine. Your asking for trouble.

Ya I no I put A JDM swap in my car and that p39 is the ecu that it came with I new that it was the wrong one but they dont take it back so I bought a P13 but the car sputters and runs bad until like 4000 RPM then it smoothes out but with the P39 it is smooth through the whole band I dont get it

thats cuz its likely running under a lean condition.

do you have any check engine lights while on the p13?

The engine light doesnt go on for a while then it wont go of unless you reset the ecu then it runs good again for a few minitues then the light comes back on again

If it is throwing a CEL, jump the blue service connector behind the radio and read the slow/fast blinks. That will tell you what code it is. Post it up and someone can help you ID the problem.
