check engine light :(
ok.... i've got my '03 ep3. not even 37k miles on it. it's got the k&n short ram and an exedy lightweight flywheel and stage 1 clutch. after we installed the flywheel, we noticed that the wires to both o2 sensors were a little damaged. the owner of the shop that i go to said the guy that had the car before me must've had an air/fuel meter hooked up to it cuz the green wire on one of the sensors had solder on it. well we stripped all the wires and hooked them back up. but my check engine light came on. at first i didn't notice anything different. but after a while i noticed that my exhaust smells a lot richer, and that my car is actually using probably close to twice the amount of gas that it should. (i drove about 120 miles on 8 gallons yesterday.) BUT, when the code is read with an OBD2 reader, the code says the system is running too lean. what is going on here? and i can't really afford to go buy new o2 sensors (almost $375 at advance auto parts). please help me.
either you didnt wire it right or the o2 sensor is bad. when a lean or rich code comes up in either the bank 1 of bank 2, that means your 02 sensor is malfunctioning.

hmmm, I have the some problem, but on my 4th gen Prelude. I think that you might just need to get a new sensor, or try to rewire the wires agian. Unless you know for sure that you did it right. Then yes you would have to get a new sensor. I have heard that if you tourch your O2 sensor it may help? I really don't, maybe I'll try it
