Whats the highest rpm toda valve springs are design to handle????????
if you want a ultra stiff spring go with kawasaki. I took my old car to 11,000 rpms before. I think the toda's can hadle upwards of 9500rpms, with stock retainers.
and honestlyt why would you want to go any higher than the pwerband of the cam

When I had the PowerFC it once read a peak-hold number of 9800rpm
...had the rev limiter set a little too high that day
Toda valve springs, toda "B" cams, and Portflow Ti retainers.

Portflow retainers, Toda Springs and some valve guides and you can go to 10,000...but then again even the Spec C's only make power to about 9,600rpm.

Worth the piece of mind.
I have used Eibach valve springs on my last few motors. Endyn sells them and says they are rated at 10,000RPMs at 13mm of lift. I have them with Ferrea ti retainers and I've run to 9,800 a few times. Endyn uses them on every motor they build.
i thought endyn used the web valvetrain kits? was the ones that collapsed on you the ones that have smaller diameter springs/retainers/seats?
oh damn, that sucks. yea, those are web kits, which part failed? what cams were you running? and how many rpm? thanks.
toda spec C, no high rpm as the motor was being broken in, at most 6-7000rpm.
all of the outer springs broke into pieces.

i revved my b's with the toda valve train with the je 12:5:1 compression pistons to 9500 consistantly. oh yea i also rigged my oil pump to push out more pressure than the stock setting so its safer.
I have spec-C cams with Toda valve springs and my rev limit is 10,000. I have seen 10,500 on the datalog many times due to the soft rpm limit. In fact, when I burn out, it shows 10,500rpm for around 4-5 seconds.
My opinion is that Toda valve springs are probably the best you can get for a B series engine. Not many companies use the more expensive egg shaped spring, and Toda do it for a reason.
