Transmission Swap 5th Gen to 4th Gen Auto
Does any one have any advise on doing a transmission swap for a 5th gen prelude with auto SS to a 4th gen prelude auto trans. I want to put a 92-96 prelude auto trans into my 97-2001 auto prelude with sport shift.
What parts are needed?
Can I use the old shifter?
What are the problems?
Are there any differences with an american 4th gen tran and a JDM 4th gen used used auto transmission?
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

The reason why I want to know about the transmission swap is that the 4th gen auto trans are cheaper and easier to come by.
Thanks

Thanks</TD></TR></TABLE>Well that is true but you might as well save some more and get a 5th gen trans.
