Default Best Year // Model?

I am in the market for a civic. I like the 01-05 ones. What is the best year//model to get? I want something decently fast stock, I plan on doing some upgrades after I purchase it. What are the VP models?

if you want fast, you're in the wrong section.

Not really "fast" but it's a fun car to drive, nice and quick handling.

Sound like an idiot?

How is that? You havnt heard of the RSX Type R? Its 265+ HP. Its the same i-Vtec as in the Type S just tuned differently, all you need is to talk to a dealer and he will hook you up. Thats what my friend did, his RSX is 241HP at the wheel, 0-60 in 5.3 seconds.

The Type-R (DC5 Integra) isn't sold in the USA. That's why.

I just want something a little faster than my 95 accord. Not sure of my HP right now. I only have like 18k to spend. I might just get a tC.

There is more to it than just being tunned differently. Off the top of my head I believe cams, IM, header, tranny, and gearing is all different as well as it being equiped with lsd (im sure there's more). On top of that if it were the same motor they wouldn't have different engine codes.

An '01 with a K24A2 (RSX Type-S 6spd trans.) will be really quick, and not eat your dollars in gas or maintenance.

Im not looking for a race car or anything, I want an automatic, I suck at Manual Transmission. Im not into the rice scene or anything, I just like a car that is fun to drive, I love my accord, I consider it quick for being an auto.

Does anyone know the HP of my 95 Accord comared to the civics?

lol

you consider it quick for a auto.
im sorry but nothing really is quick as an auto unless u spend money

even tho ive driven a h22a prelude with sportronic and it was pretty quick

but i also drove a prelude h22a with a 5 speed and it was ALOT fast and better throttle response.

but ive also had a 01 civic Lx Auto 1.7L D17

and it was slow.

but then again

if u have 160hp+ you can make it some what quick

Like I said, Im not a racer, I don't need something super fast. I am not sure what kind of car I want anymore, I want something that looks nice, and is reliable!

y don't u find a friend who has a civic 01-05 then ask them to let u test it? easier than asking everyone. everyone has a different definition of fast. and btw, if u did get one, just remember to come here often
