Stripping apart the interior in a crx.....have some questions
Alright, I'm parting out an 88 crx dx (see sig for link to for sale thread) and I have a couple questions as to what is the best way to take out some of the pieces without f*cking it up......now to the pics!
What is the best way to take off this little hanger notch or whatever it is without scratching up the panel?? There doesnt appear to be any place to unscrew it, etc....

Another pic:

And my other question is, what is the best way of taking out the headliner without destroying it??? I dont know where to take off the mirror and the little notches to hold the sun visors in......

Sorry if these are noob questions, but I have never taken off these pieces on any of my crxs before.

all the screws are underneath the plastic cover on all of those...you have to take a small flathead, and pry the cover open to reveal the screw...

Thank you guys, I appreciate it
So I need to pry off the plastic piece that goes around the mirror and the little visor holders also?

Yep. You need to remove the mirror.
Funny thing is I was just doing all this yesterday....taking apart my 89 hf. It took me awhile to find that you pry that little piece of plastic back on the hanger myself.
I have the complete interior taken out now other than the dash which I think is being held in by like 2 more screws that are hard to get to. If you have any more questions I dont care one bit to help.

PM replied
Is there any little notches on the mirror plastic piece to pry it off? Or should I just get anywhere underneath the plastic and pry?

careful with that plastic piece on the rear-view mirror.
I absolutely destroyed the sides of mine while trying to lever it off.

i know this sounds kinda odd but you can just grab the black metal rod that holds the rear view mirror, give it a very hard tug and it will pop out of its seat. they are ment to break away incase of an accident and you can just put it back together after you uscrew the base from the celing. that way you dont even mess up the cover.
So I guess you have to use a stubby screw driver to get under the dash and remove all those screws. Correct?
