if your afraid of the rain you shouldn't be driving it, rap it in plastic and put it in the garage.

ask paint shop, i dont want to drive allt he way there, why not jus fckin post online instead. and i have 5 year warrantee on paint , so if i ask them they will always come back and say "oh u drove in rain, we cant fix that its ur fault" . so what if i post online about stuff. why da fck do u care ur juss a fckin user on HONDA-tech. all my post are complete common sense? lol then everybody in this world must be a honda expert inside and out. i did fckin search, it just shows up with 2 threads about fresh paint and rain. come on u should do something other then try to talk ****. buffin out a base/clear integrated paint job isnt something, so i guess "some ppl on ht dont know **** waht their talkin about" is u.

but Still, if i do that they will remember it on me that it happened and IF my paint does get defected, they wont REpair it beacuse they will bring up the fact that i drove in the rain. so its better if paint shop doesnt know that i drove it during rain. im not stupid to confess something like that to them when i know i have 5 year warantee on it.

When you left the shop, did they instruct you not to drive in the rain, or to garage the car for a certain period of time? If not, how would calling them and asking their advice "void" your warranty? Not everyone owns a garage. When a car leaves a shop, it's reasonable to expect that it might be rained on.

by base/clear integrated do u mean a single-stage paint job? i work at the local nissan dealership in the bodyshop and we spray 2-stage paint. so if it is a 2-stage paint job then, no it doesnt matter if the car is washed. as a matter of fact we wash all the cars before they are delivered to the customers. and we warranty the paint job for as long as that customer owns the car. dont know if this helps but hope it does.

You are fine. I work at a bodyshop and cars are washed right after there painted. You must have waxing and washing it mixed up. You can wash but not wax.

SINgle stage paint job. thats why im kind of worried / wondering what will damage it.

most of u guys are reffering to 2 stage paint jobs gettin it washed right after, the guy who sold me the paint job didnt say anything about not driving in rain or lettin garage . he juss said 24 hour dry and that was it.

You are saying nothing that makes sense. People that do this **** for a living can tell what the hell happened to it, and also you said that they will void the warranty but then you said he didnt say anything about driving in the rain.... Wow just wow!

yes 5 year warrantee but he didnt tell me the specifics of it. yes he didnt tell me anything about atking care of it or anything. i said they MIGHT void the warrantee if i tell them that it happened during rain. ppl who do it for a living is the actual painters, the guy who deals with customers doesnt deal with paint, he juss does the finaicial and paperworks.

Call up pretending to be a different customer. Then you can find out. I also think it's that you cannot wax your car 30-90 days after you have fresh paint. washing should be fine.

They washed my friend's car after she had some body damage. Repaired her 1/4 panel and after the work (painting, blending clear coat, etc) was done, they wash it so it looks good.

Darn rain last night, my car is all mucky now too. I'll wait till tomorrow to make it all better.

You'll be fine

turned out good. pics are here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1780876

i only paid 750$ but had a 10% discount cause my old car was painted there. integrated paint, so ther was no Base then Clear. ONe stage paint.

i guess imma juss leave it as is. not wash it for like a week or 2 and then wash it, juss gonna leave all that dirt and stuff on there till 1-2 weeks then wash it?

I would wash it just use a very mild detergent with more water than usual, and be gentle because there might still be a few soft spots..

-HOW to fix JDM front bumper sag

-EBRAKE plastic piece button handle how to make it new

-How do my spark plugs look

-what is brighest white out there

-Whitfield racing, has anyone heard of them or got tuned there?

-Is this a rod knock?

-how do i remove this adhesive on lip kit

etc
are all examples of threads that not only HELPED me, but helped many other people who dont ask these questions because they are scared of big bad e thug regulators like u who got nothing to do but go into threads and try to make urself feel better by tellin others to use common sense and ****. Like in school, u got a question u ask it and who knows other students might not know it too but too scared to ask the teacher, why not ask when u have the opportunity. u can only learn from it. u need to get off ur *** and do something other then talk like ur payin for the bandwidth of HT.
