If you got to get lose your squirter to increase oil pressure for vtec to engage then you have more serious issues.

If you are running forged pistons, you don't need oil squirters and it would be beneficial to plug them and get higher oil pressure. Otherwise, you definitely shouldn't plug them up.

oil squirters help cool down the piston.
so you dont have detonation and blow up your pistons.

yeah but if u go forged you dont have too have them, but keeping them cant hurt. Honda engineers didnt put them in the motors too look good.

I built my motor with forged pistons & rods, and I left the block squirters in because there was no clearance issue.

What is the real benefit of removing them?

Only need to remove them if you are changing the size of the bore or if your pistons dont fit.

For mini sprint engines we try add them because they make high revs more stable. Just might have oil pressure problems at low revs with a bad pump.
