Hello ive look on ebay and found a couple of JDM EG audio console where you could put a double din in there. Would the JDM version fit on a USDM? I ask the person and on of them said it tilts the other way and that you have to cut and bend. is this true? Ive seen it on an EG left hand drive USDM version and couldnt tell if they make it.. Please link me to where I could find the perfect fit for the EG console.. thanks

 

The only real difference in the JDM audio console vs the USDM audio console is the positioning of the ash tray and lighter. the JDM one has the lighter on the left, and USDM has the lighter on the right. I have heard that the JDM console doesn't meet up at the bottom as well as the USDM, but I haven't seen proof that this is just a JDM part issue, as much as being individual to the unit itself. I have seen USDM audo consoles with a bottom gap. AFAIK, both JDM or USDM should mount without any cutting or bending.

 

i have a usdm audio console and it has a slight gap too.

 

i have the JDM one and it is not much different than my friends in his CX from the dealer...they look the same. just the ash traay slot is on the other side

 

i drive my car pretty hard and found my leg always hitting mines...i took it out..it was driving me MAD.
