H22x EUDM Vs USDM vs JDM
Hi
I`m about to turbo converting my european Prelude. I have a H22A2 engine in my car, stock.
I have bought a JDM H22A engine for the turbo conversion. My question is, what is the difference between these two engines? Can I just plug the H22A into my existing wire harness with a new jdm ecu and it will run?
My goal is to use the AEM ems for my turbo engine, and I hope I can hust plug and play without severe modifikations. The AEM ems i made for the H22A1... wil I get problems plug it in?
Why has Honda chosed internal and external coil?
I know some differences:
H22A:
Interal coil
Evap Startup valve on manifold for enviroment control
Higher compression
H22A1
External coil
H22A2
Internal coil
Less enviromental controll systems
Thanks

Why exactly did you buy a JDM engine for a turbo swap? There's little to no difference as far as safety or increased internal strength goes.
The h22a will work with your existing wire harness. The AEM EMS will plug right in.

If I pull out my H22A2 engine and turbo convert it, my car will be standing still for quite some time. Just the block sleeving can take several months (i need to send it to usa).
I want to use my prelude most at possible, so I turbo convert my H22A and swap it right in, fully tuned and ready to go.
