Default defining the heads?

ok well I have this ls/vtec and it looks like the head is not a gsr due to the intake manifold.
So I thought it was a b16 or possibly the type r. But the head has a p72 stamped
on it in the front. Ive never really seen this before, but on the other hand all ive had
was d-series and zc motors.
Thanks for the help.
Can somebody tell me of any ways I can identify the differant heads apart from one to
another.

Another way is to look at the shape of the combustion chamber underneath:

if the shape is perfectly round, it is a B16 head

if it resembles a square it is a GSR head

ITR and B16 heads are nearly identical except for a mild P&P.

P72 is always a GSR head.

Have you not been reading this thread? P72 = GS-R. If that is what's stamped on the head, there is no way it can be anything else.

All B16 (including the B16b CTR) and the ITR have PR3 heads.

b16 heads have the upper coolant passage on the rear of the head and the gsr head has it on the front.

Like mentioned before..it might have a sk2 IM on it. if it says p72 then it's a GSR. and there is no way you can change that unless you get a new head.

that can easily be changed with a skunk2 or similar manifold

ok well i tripple checked and yeah it says p72-1 right on the front of the head.

Im guessing it must have an aftermarket intake manifold then. Because it looks
like the b16, but it looks stock. Now I want to find out what intake manifold im running?

Is there any other stock intake manifolds could be used on the gsr head?
