dont buy an h22 just buy the head and put it on the f22. you could make a sweet all motor g22. put some pistons and rods and some cams and a good header and blammo youll be set

but if thats not an option h22 ftw...its what i chose for my 94 accord

Everyone is swapping their motors to F22 or H22. No love for the B18 motor?

no need to swap to f22 its already got one. and a b18 doesnt have near the tq needed to get our lead sleds moving

Wait a min... so you're saying that F22/H22 > B18s cause problems to our Accords?

it won't cause any problems... but even thought the HP number is around 170 and stuff like that.... the torque numbers are low..... and the weight of the accord requires a "torqy" engine...

"h22 is the best".... is not a fact.
F22 is a lot stronger than most people think, and creates good numbers just as good as with H22.... with the difference that the bottom end can hold more numbers than the stock h22 block.

where is your proof of this?? there are h22's making 400-530hp on the stock bottom end. im not taking away from the f22 in strength but there is little diff between the two...dont know if you noticed my suggestion f22 bottom end with h22 head

no it will not make as much power because of the compression of the f22...which is around 9 if i remember right (correct me if im wrong) where as the h22 is 10:1(usdm) and 10.6:1 (jdm). so with higher compression pistons...say 11:1 you will be running with the other h22 guys and them seeing your tail lights.

this will give you more power probably 165-175 if you leave the f22 pistons. i have no idea that is just a guess

thats not what im saying. an auto is up to you...a manual will net you better times at the track. from a roll its not much of a diff. but i would suggest getting a manual swap done.

keep the single cam and add a cheap turbo kit.
you'll make alot more tq and a little more hp than a h22
thats the best bet

and cheap = booommm. a turbo kit would run you about the same as a full h22 swap. plus some...and dont forget the instal. so turbo for you car is not the cheapest route. here is one of the cheaper ways

11:1pistons 450 (100 head gasket, 120 for head studs)
h22 head (300-400)
p28 75
hondata 275
socket 60
tune 400ish depending on where you

total: 1880 on the high side of my estimates

id allow a little bit more for other things like wiring vtec and a h22 header

so if you have 2500-2600 to spend that would be a good deal.....or just get an h22 swap for 2450(shipped) and instal it yourself....or buy a turbo kit for 3000 and pay 600-1000 for an install

i have f22a6 and im going turbo and keeping auto for a while i drive alot. and sure wwith any auto it will start to go if you beat on your car. anf there alot of guy runing f22's right now making good numbers. go to cb7tuner.com and theres guy with f22b that making good number. go turbo . or if na theres a section on na setups in performance section
