Default Anyone running xtrac

Just wondering if there is anyone on these forums that has tried xtrac transmissions, and if they have had any shortcomings. I would imagine they are all they are made out to be given the high price tag. Im really looking for a transmission i can beat the sh it out of and not have any problems.
thanks

Just because it is a strong transmission, doesn't mean you can beat the crap out of it. Used improperly, the transmission will still break.

Gary G had a Xtrc in the Red EG and loved it, cost is big but it is strong from what we hear. We thought so and got one for our HotRod build - the part looks very nice and great quaility.

I remember seeing that Brian J. broke gears in his transmission, but it was because the shift cut was not set for him. I guess once that was fixed, it worked well...

To run that car in NHRA All Motor let say with anything bigger than 2.4 liters you would have to weigh 1875. That trans is a 150 lb. penalty.
