how do check the codes on my civic

yea i had to get behind the glove box to find it.. it was in a green holster and the wire color descriptions werent right.. there's a black wire and a brown wire with a blue clip
Thats the plug. Use a small paper clip and connect it, then turn you ig key to acc. Check engine light will flash whatever codes are present. Dont forget to remove the clip once finished.
yea i did.. it was my crank position sensor.. so i had to go buy a new distributor housing with the new sensor and tomorrow im gonna put it in
